This aiport is located 16km southwest of the city centre and is the busiest airport in western China and 6th busiest in China with 22 million passengers passing through here every year. It is also an important cargo hub for western China.

The airport offers international flights to over 20 destinations including Bangalore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam.

Domestically Air China and Sichuan Airlines offer a comprehensive service to maost Chinese cities while a number of smaller airlines also operate through here.
