Kobe Airport is located on artificial island off the coast of Kobe. It handles over 2.5 million passengers per year.

Mostly domestic flight operate from here with All Nippon Airways and Skymark Airlnes flying to many major cities. Some international charters also use the airport.

The airport is connected to central Kobe by a rail link to Sannomiya Station, Kobe. It is also connected to Kansai Airport by a high speed ferry taking 30 minutes.
