Penang International Airport is situated in the Bayan Lepas area of Penang, Malaysia. It is 16km south of George Town the capital of Penang. Penang International has good connections to the major cities of South East Asia.

It is the third businest airport in Malaysia and is the hub of two low cost carriers - Firefly and AirAsia. Thai Airways fly to Bangkok, Tiger to Singapore, Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and China Southern to Guangzhou and Xiamen.
